Make A Difference in the Community, Every Day

Based on the most recent CDC Guidelines, regular meetings of The Escondido Rotary Club have been cancelled through through May 5th.

Haven House service is currently suspended until we are able to assure the health and safety of both our members and the Haven House Residents.

How Rotarians Can Help Right Now

All social service agencies are looking for healthy volunteers between the ages of 18 and 65.

Some are vital services that have not shut down.  (List them here?)  You should contact one or more of them and talk about possibilities, especially if if you have been temporarily furloughed.

Our club will soon launch a city wide food drive.  Stay tuned.

There is an urgent need all around the country for health professional protective gear, to include booties, safety goggles, and N-95 masks.

Many of us assumed that, if Palomar Health cannot find them, or at least get to the front of any priority waiting lists, what could we do?  The answer may be to look in some of those dusty garage cupboards.  You may have some of these things left over from a recent carpet cleaning, or home improvement project.  Painters leave some behind.  Had your wooden floor sanded or resurfaced recently?  That could yield a face mask or two.  Maybe you can beg some from your local painting contractor?  If you find any, you will easily know what to do with them.

The Escondido Rotary Club is a volunteer organization of the top business and professionals in our city who have a common vision:
To serve our city by volunteering and providing support to other community providers, while making new friends and deepening the freindships we have.

Club members have many opportunities for service, both locally and internationally. Service programs address such concerns as health care, hunger, poverty, illiteracy, and the environment. Rotarians experience the fulfillment that comes from giving back to the community.
